Search Inside Yourself teaches how to have more peaceHave you ever wondered how to better manage stress, become more mindful, have greater focus or even harness creativity? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the ‘Search Inside Yourself’ (SIY) training on the 14th and 15th is for you. in Clarksville. Sponsored by Austin Peay State University, ‘Search Inside Yourself’ was originally developed by an engineer at Google, who had a dream to change the world. This 2-day, mindfulness- based, emotional intelligence program will help you harness your full potential.  And now the SIYLI program is coming to Clarksville. As a premiere Realtor in the Clarksville and surrounding area, Chief Knows Ft Campbell also knows the importance of self-awareness and leading with compassion.

The roots of SIYLI were planted in 2007 when Chade-Meng Tan, a veteran engineer sought to develop an internal course at Google. He brought together the leading experts in emotional intelligence, neuroscience and mindfulness to create a training that soon became a favorite on the Google campus. Interest outside Google began to grow and SIYLI was born in 2012 as an independent non-profit organization. Today SIYLI is an internationally recognized program incorporated by government, corporate and nonprofit organizations across the globe.

How does it work?

The SIY program begins with a highly interactive two-day in person conference that runs from 9am – 5pm. At the conclusion of the program there is a 4-week online practice integration program that includes daily exercises and resources delivered by email. The goal is to help attendees build new habits. The journey closes with a webinar reconnecting teachers and participants so they can review and map out a plan for implementing the concepts experienced throughout the program.

‘Search Inside Yourself’ includes sessions on mindfulness (the science of being present), empathy (understanding others’ feelings and experiences) , self-awareness (understanding your thoughts, emotions and habits), leadership (influencing with compassion), self-management (skillfully managing your impulses and reactions) and motivation (aligning your values and work
